4th generation green bean casserole

Today I made green bean casserole with my grandpa. This recipe has a story behind it.

My great grandma (Papa's mom) found this recipe and taught my Grandma Kathy how to make it. Then, my mom and then me.

Here's how you make it. First, preheat your oven to 350. Then, we sauteed the onion over medium heat.

Sauteeing the onions

Then, we added three drained cans cut green beans. After that, we added one can cream of mushroom soup and a little milk to wash out the can. Next, we added one jar of Old English Cheese. After that, we added three slices of cubed bread.

Mixing!

Then we mixed it all together and we put it in a large 9x13 pan. Then we put it in the oven for 30 minutes. At the end, we topped it with crispy french fried onions. Next, we ate it and it was so good!

I had so much fun making this with my grandpa and I hope you make it too. This recipe is special!

Beef Stroganoff

Look at my dog, Bowie, behind me!

Every Wednesday, my mom and I cook dinner for everyone in my family. Tonight we cooked beef stroganoff. I had lots of fun making it. First, we sauteed the mushrooms. Then, we sauteed the onions and garlic together. Then, we added the beef to it and browned the beef.  We made the sauce by using sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, and beef stock. After that, we added the secret ingredient: a splash of Worchestershire sauce.

Next, we mixed it all together and got beef stroganoff sauce. Then we put the sauce on egg noodles and served it. I thought it was very filling and delicious.

Burger Time!

One Sunday afternoon, I went to a burger place with my family. It was like burger palace!  It was called 8 Oz. Burgers. First, we ordered shakes and I got a salted caramel shake. Then, we ordered our food. I had to order off the kids menu and there were only three choices! But I ordered sliders of course. The rest of my family ordered the Burgers with lots of stuff on them. I loved my sisters the most. It had pesto, egg, cheese, and some other stuff that I don't remember. My favorite part was the pesto. I love pesto. I hope you do to if you want to try this burger!

All About Iris

Hi! I'm Iris, I am 9 years old and I live in the USA. I wanted to start this blog because I am not a picky eater and I want to talk about meals I like. I will be talking about a lot of chicken and pasta recipes I make and also about restaurants that I like. Someday I want to be a chef, a writer, and a food critic so I'm getting started now. I hope you think about making some of the recipes I request and keep on looking at what I post.
